Pulwama, Feb 23 : At least two cowsheds were damaged and property worth lakhs reduced to ashes in a mysterious fire incident in Rakh village of Litter tehsil in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
According to the reports,the cowsheds belong to Mohammad Yousuf Mir, and Mohammad Ashraf Mir.
Mohammad Ashraf Mir said that soon after thunderstorm at around 2 am in dead of night fire erupted from his cowshed and engulfed other cowsheds as well.
He said that with the efforts of the locals, fire was controlled and it didn’t spread further, however, three cowsheds were damaged in the incident.
He said he is constructing a house and he had kept all his goods like timber and other materials which got damaged.
He said that his brother had kept his material of poultry farm in other room of the cowshed which also got damaged.
Mohammad Yousuf Mir also said that fire engulfed his store cum cowshed soon after thunderstorm during dead of night.
He said that he has recently constructed house, however, his all material including eatable items, utensils, timber was there which all got damaged.
They said that they have suffered huge damage in the incident and government must compensate them.
An official confirmed that rooftops of two cowsheds have damaged due to fire incident during intervening night and further investigation has been taken up—(KNO)
