Srinagar, Aug 5 : A semi-decomposed body of a man, missing since last week of February this week, was found in outskirts of central Kashmir’s Srinagar district this afternoon, officials said.
They told that a body was found by some passersby lying along a road near Khushalsar. “Upon intimating the police, a team arrived at the site and took the body into its possession”, they said.
Confirming it, a police officer told GNS that the body has been identified to be of one Ghulam Ahmad Malik, son of Ghulam Hassan Malik, resident of Alamagiri Bazar Srinagar.
“The person had gone missing from his home since February 21, 2023”, the officer said.
“Investigations have been started to ascertain the circumstances leading to the death of the person”, the officer added. (GNS)
