Bandipora, Oct 06 : Union Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment of India, Ramdas Athawale who visited the Bandipora district Wednesday as part of the Government’s ongoing public outreach programme, said that the government wanted an atmosphere of peace in Kashmir for the development.
Addressing a public gathering at SK Stadium Bandipora, the Union Minister said that the government wants an atmosphere of peace in Kashmir which will lead to development in Kashmir.
“The environment in Jammu and Kashmir is rapidly moving towards peace. People are on the path of development,” he said.
Athawale while interacting with a public delegation at the mini secretariat assured them that the union territory of J&K will be soon converted into state again.
Later the minister also visited sector BSF headquarter at Madder and interacted with soldiers. He hailed their services in protecting the lives of the people and the integrity of the country.
